Analog Way has released CorePlay 1.4, a new software update for its CorePlay Solo media player designed for live production environments. The update simplifies the management of multiple playback systems by centralizing control, improving system visibility, and streamlining media distribution workflows across CorePlay units.

Manage Multiple CorePlay Units from a Single Interface

As productions grow in scale, operators are increasingly required to manage multiple playback systems deployed across different locations. CorePlay 1.4 enables operators to view and control multiple CorePlay units that are reachable on the network from a single interface.

A dedicated side panel displays discovered units with live thumbnail previews and key playback information, providing a consolidated view of system status across multiple servers.

Monitor Primary and Backup Systems with Confidence

With backup systems widely used in live event workflows, monitoring both primary and secondary playback systems can add operational complexity. CorePlay 1.4 allows operators to monitor both systems within a single remote control application interface.

This consolidated visibility helps ensure that a backup server is ready if needed, without requiring additional screens or manual checks.

Simplify Network Connectivity with Automatic Discovery

Shared local networks are standard in most production environments, but maintaining stable connections to playback systems can be affected by IP changes, device resets, or DHCP behavior.

CorePlay 1.4 introduces automatic discovery of CorePlay units that are reachable on the network. Operators no longer need to track IP changes or manually reconnect to devices, allowing them to focus on show preparation rather than network management.

Distribute Media Across Multiple Units More Efficiently

As media resolutions, frame rates, and bit depths increase, file sizes continue to grow. Larger media assets can slow down preparation workflows, especially when content must be deployed across multiple systems.

CorePlay 1.4 enables operators to initiate media transfers from the remote control system. Transfers are queued and processed sequentially, allowing media to be distributed across multiple CorePlay units. This helps reduce preparation time and ensures all systems are ready for the show.
