Analog Way’s Aquilon C+ multi-screen presentation system and videowall processor is driving the largest outdoor signage in Korea, LG’s new Luux LED display mounted on the Dong-A Media Centre in Seoul. Luux embraces architectural-scale LED storytelling in the heart of Gwanghwamun, the largest cultural and commercial district in the city.
Founded more than a century ago, the Dong-A Media Group is one of Korea’s leading comprehensive media conglomerates, spanning newspapers, broadcasting, magazines, publishing, education and digital media. Luux was installed at the Dong-A Media Centre, the hub of the Dong-A Media Group, where it serves as a multifunctional visual platform capable of supporting the firm’s diverse businesses in one integrated media space.

Luux measures a massive 3,000 square meters or roughly the size of seven basketball courts. It wraps around the corner of the Centre in a J-shape, giving it visibility from three sides: north, west and south. The curvature not only enhances the viewing experience but also transforms the façade into an immersive media canvas that merges architecture, digital art and brand storytelling.
Part of Analog Way’s LivePremier series, Aquilon C+ is a fully modular and scalable 4K/8K multi-screen presentation system and videowall processor with up to 24x 4K60p inputs and up to 20x 4K60p outputs. It combines industrial grade reliability, unrivaled ease-of-use, versatile 4K digital connectivity, unmatched real-time 10/12-bit 4:4:4 video processing power, best-in-class image quality and pure 4K60p on each input and output with ultra-low latency. One active system and one backup have been installed to drive not only the new Luux but also the L-shaped LED display on the roof of Ilmin Museum of Art, which meets Luux on its shortest side. The two displays can play synchronized content expanding creative possibilities.
“Since two different LED displays had to be managed simultaneously the setup required advanced pixel-pitch management to ensure accurate mapping and visual consistency across both displays,” explains Felix Chang, Analog Way Country Manager for Korea.
“Analog Way’s LivePremier platform offers this capability natively and is renowned for its stability and scalability in driving ultra-large, high-resolution LED systems.”
According to Chang, Web RCS, Aquilon C+’s HTML5-based control software, has been highly appreciated by the operators for its intuitive interface and convenient remote connectivity. In addition, the extensive and standardized REST API provided by the LivePremier platform enabled seamless connection with the CMS server developed by Dong-A. This allowed synchronized control and monitoring between the processor and the content management system.

Analog Way’s Korean partner Kinoton played an instrumental role in the successful launch of Luux at the Dong-A Media Center, serving as the project’s end-to-end integrator. Building on its previous collaboration with Dong-A, the company elevated its earlier outdoor display work into a major flagship installation for this new initiative. Kinoton oversaw all aspects of the project - from initial planning, system design, and engineering through to on-site execution - while also assuming responsibility for post-launch service and ongoing maintenance.
“The Aquilon C+ units have performed exceptionally well, delivering stable and precise image processing even at massive pixel loads,” explains Chris Choi, Kinoton’s Team Lead. Choi added, “Operators at the Dong-A Media Center expressed high satisfaction with both performance and ease of use during daily operation.”
